We were privileged to photograph the Freeman family on their extended family vacation in Mexico Beach, FL. During family sessions we like to mix it up with smaller groups capturing sweet and intimate moments. These two precious boys were so sweet. Brotherly love is one of God’s greatest gifts and something to treasured! In our home, our favorite portraits are the ones of our boys, being sweet, silly, and always fun. That is what makes a home seem to smile with warmth. Capturing these moments in breathtaking wall art to display in your home is our top priority here at Rebecca Knowles Photography.

We hope you enjoy viewing these photographs as much as we did taking them!

Pearls, ruffles & seashells… exactly what every little girl should have for her 1st birthday!

The Carroll’s commissioned us for a birthday portrait for their precious little girl during their visit to the beach in Destin Florida. When mom mentioned they would like somehting unique, I knew exactly what we needed, a seashell fit for a princess! She had fun playing with pearls and mom got a beautiful capture of her baby girl on the edge of being a one year old.

The Kauffman family are homeowners in Rosemary Beach Florida. They visit the area pretty regularly but decided on this trip they would like to document with some gorgeous beach portraits of the family.

At the end of the session, one of Kauffman daughters mentioned how the roof has a pretty view. So we headed up to the roof of their home in Rosemary Beach for a portrait with a view of the housetops of the town of Rosemary.

We always have a great time when working with large families. Something about the laid-back & fun dynamic that comes with getting families that are spread across the country together. Especially when they are getting together on the beaches of Florida or Alabama! It makes us feel good to hear from families at the end of their session how much fun they have had with us. Many times families come into a session (especially the guys…c’mon you know it’s true!) dreading it. It’s something that Mom, Wife or Grandma want so they go along with it. Hoping it will end sooner than later and that it won’t be too excruciating. LOL I can’t tell you how many times at the end of a session our clients, even the guys, say how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed it! That makes us so happy because we always have a great time too!

The Lake family was no different, we had a fabulous time during their session. We photographed their extended family on the beach during their vacation in Panama City Beach Florida.

The Carter family was such a sweet, Southern family to work with! The littlest Carter gave us all a run for our money, we had so much fun with them. She is such a cutie and a little bit of a firecracker, which is a good thing when you have two big brothers to keep up with! 🙂

We were able to work with the Carter’s to design several wall portraits for their home. Our favorite was this first image below. This portrait became a 30×40 portrait for their living room.

This past summer we had massive amounts of rain in the Florida panhandle. Some record-breaking rainfall totals. Though it typically clear out for us by sunset, this much rain can cause plant life to grow more abundantly in the gulf. For those who might not know… plant life = seaweed and algae. Yep, that ‘stuff’ you see floating in the water certain times of the year. It won’t hurt you but it can sometimes challenge us, as photographers, to shoot around it or in such a way that you can’t see it in portraits. No worries, we’re good at it!

This was the case on the day of the Bryant family’s session but you would never know it! 😉
We enjoyed working with the Bryant family this summer in Panama City Beach for their wall portraits and Christmas cards!

The DeLussey’s were celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary in Panama City Beach this summer. They were married in Pensacola, FL and were vacationing in Panama City Beach. They contacted us to create some beautiful beach portraits to commemorate their anniversary celebration trip. We had a great time photographing them in the sand… and even in the water!

When we photograph families, especially larger family groups we always do standard perfectly poised photographs. However, it’s not always about everyone being perfectly poised. Sometimes it’s about togetherness and capturing the real connections of the precious families we photograph! This was our second year photographing the Johnson family in Rosemary Beach.
