When I booked this session with Susan, it was to be a normal family session on Panama City Beach. A few days after we scheduled, I got a phone call from Chris, Susan’s boyfriend. He had big plans to propose during the session!
So we started planning, without Susan knowing. 😉
Chris booked an airplane fly over! I would say that Susan was totally surprised!!!

It was SUCH a fun thing to be a part of! After the question was popped and all eyes were dried, we did some family portraits of the new blended family!

We also had a little fun with the girls. They got a little giggly as a couple of beach guys walked past. So Chris called them over for a photo! lol

This adorable family was such fun to photograph. We spent the evening on Panama City Beach letting the Lehmann children play in the sand and run through the waves. With a beautiful sunset sky as the backdrop 🙂

Every family faces milestones through the years. Many times I am photographing the early years of a family. Every once in a while though, I am honored to capture a family on the brink of another milestone. The emptying nest.
That is where the Ponder family is now. The oldest of the Ponder boys was leaving for College this Fall.

We were blessed with a beautiful evening for their session…

What a fun session this was! The Robbins group of families are spread throughout the US so getting everyone together is a big deal. What better time to capture some of the memories made during a big family vacation than a session on the beach. The Robbins were staying in a beautiful home on The Plantation in St. George Island. They were prepared for a fun, relaxed session on the beach and that is exactly what we had!

In Florida, the weather can change so quickly! Looking at the radar the day of the David family’s session it was calling for 100% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Guess what… no rain! We had a few little sprinkles on the drive out but other than that it was a beautiful evening. As you can see in the portraits below…

Audrey is our newest enrollee into our Sweet Chic Baby program. Our Sweet Chic Baby program is a special way to capture baby at the most significant milestones in baby’s first year.

A few years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing the new baby of the Menard’s. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her several times since then and love watching her grow and change each time I see her. Now, they’ve added a new baby girl and I was honored to be able to photograph her as well!

It’s so much fun to find beauty in unexpected places. I think one of the best things about being a photographer is seeing things with an artistic eye, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. I always love a little bit of a challenge.

Amanda & Jeremy were married at Gulf Beach Baptist Church on Panama City Beach. It was nearly dark by the time for Amanda & Jeremy’s formal portraits of just the two of them and the church grounds didn’t have a lot of options for beautiful formals. So we made them beautiful! I spotted a little park bench beside the pond and surrounded by tall pines. A little creative lighting and poof the setting was as gorgeous as Amanda!

We couldn’t have ordered more beautiful weather on the evening of the Harvey family’s session. They had some adorable little boys who thought it was pretty cool I knew all the Transformers. Score! lol

The weather was predicted to be nice on the day of the Gayheart family’s session. Near to session time the skies started to turn dark. We moved the session up just a bit, thinking that the rain would be an hour or so behind. We got out onto the beach and just as we finished the session, the winds picked up. Umbrellas were flying wildly through the air… and we all got a little sandblasted. I don’t play with thunderstorms or the CrAzY Florida lightening! We all ran for cover, thankful that we were able to finish the session! Aren’t those cool looking clouds though?!? Totally worth eating a little sand for 😉
