I love it when I just click with brides, though I have yet to photograph a wedding where the bride feels like anything less than a friend by day’s end. However when Lindsay & I started talking about her wedding, over midnight emails none the less, I KNEW this would be an awesome wedding. They were planning for a beach wedding with a reception at a beach house. Once I learned the location, I squealed with excitement. {No, really I did! lol} The wedding was going to be held at the Bonne Terre House in Seacrest Beach, FL.

The wedding day turned out to be perfect and though the ceremony started a little late, the light was perfect for post-ceremony portraits.

Special thanks to Sheena Ratliff of Lens Flare Photography for second shooting with me!

When my youngest son Sebastian turned 5 I asked him what he would like to do for his pictures. He mentioned a few things but his main objective was to be Superman. What little boy doesn’t want to be Superman?!? To be exact he wanted to be “Clark Kent” and he wanted to rip open his shirt to reveal his Superman costume. Wouldn’t you know out of the 837,845,873,498,573 costumes we have in this house of boys we did not have ONE Superman costume.. or even a shirt! So mommy talking him into just wearing his sport coat for some portraits. While editing his portraits I got an idea. Why not turn him into Clark Kent/Superman? So that is exactly what I did!

Here is Superman, aka Clark Kent, aka Sebastian…

After the fog rolled in, like I have never seen before, on our original session day with the Neely family, we rescheduled for another try. Thankfully the next time around we were blessed with a gorgeous sunny April evening on Panama City Beach.

Have a peek at the Neely’s family beach session on Panama City Beach…

Thanks to the Neely’s for spending a fun evening with me!

I always have fun when I am shooting and I LOVE shooting big families. Especially when they are like this one.

When I arrived at their beach house they welcomed me in and offered me a drink. Then they warned me I’d probably need “a drink” by the time the session was over. LOL  Not the case at all!  They had me laughing so hard my cheeks hurt and totally kept me on my toes. I also made a new friend, the youngest of the Kunz clan had me activating my invisible force field and fighting off the bad guys on our walk back from the beach.

The only downfall to the session is we were plagued with 25mph winds that evening. They made the best of it and just went with the flow… or the breeze I should say.

Please enjoy a peek at the Kunz family session in Seacrest Beach…
