Sean & Kim knew they wanted their engagement portraits on Panama City Beach, they also knew we are living under the gloomy shadow of impending oil. So we scheduled their session right away and wouldn’t you know, it rained… but not just rained, it STORMED. Complete with thunder & lightening. I happened to have the next evening available and guess what… IT RAINED! So we rescheduled yet again for later in the week.

I do believe that God made up for the rain with the GORGEOUS evening he gave us last night! There is no sign of oil in sight, there was a perfect breeze and the sky was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Now onto the photos…

For those who have been dreaming of a beach session, now is the time to get them done! There is NO sign, smell or sight of oil here on Panama City Beach. Sadly, we don’t know how long our beaches will look like this, so take advantage of it NOW. Give me a call to schedule your beach today!

When Aaron contacted me {all the way from Alaska I might add} about his upcoming wedding I was SO excited to learn that wedding would be aboard the Lady Anderson dining yacht. Not only is this different from the normal..beach, church, garden weddings this yacht holds special meaning to me. In April of 1999, my now husband proposed to me aboard the Lady Anderson during a dinner cruise, then 6 months later we held our wedding reception on “the boat” as well. So this brought back a flood of memories. Aaron & Franchesca along with their family and friends made this not only one of the most different but one of the most fun weddings I’ve done!

Little Ms. Sophia was the star of the show. While the wedding party feared she might toss the flowers a little too hard or all at once, she proved them wrong. She walked to the end of the aisle, lightly dropped a few petals and announced, “Chesi (meaning Francesca) walk on these!”  It was absolutely adorable!

Aaron & Francesca were taken by surprise when, after their kiss, the Reverend told them they didn’t do it good enough and they had to do it again! {For the record} I think they did it just fine both times 😉

What started as the bridemaids lifting Aaron, quickly turned into throwing Aaron overboard… Now they didn’t really do it 😉

Then it was on to dinner and dancing. Aaron & Francesca shared their first dance…

After a few dances they were able to sneak away with me for some shots of just the two of them. While the sky turned cloudy for a while, we were blessed with a gorgeous sunset just before the sun went down.

Just before we docked, Francesca threw the bouquet… You have to really look but behind Francesca, you can see her sister kneeling on the floor to HIDE from the bouquet… and who caught it, I’m sure your wondering… GRANDMA! Way to go Grandma!

Thanks to Aaron & Francesca for letting me be a part of your day!

I am so looking forward to meeting this little fella when he is born in a few weeks. He seemed to enjoy the session as much as I did. Mom said he was wiggly all around while we were photographing her maternity portraits. Maybe he will be just as cooperative when we do his newborn portraits! 😉

AJ’s mom and dad have already set him up for a years worth of amazing milestone portraits with us, through our Sweet Chic Baby collection and I can’t wait to watch him grow!

Before each portrait session, my clients receive a information sheet to fill out letting me know specifics about what they would like in their session. The feel they want in their portraits etc. When I reviewed the form for this session, I was so excited to see that mom wanted to let the kids IN the water. I knew it was going to be a super fun session!

We of course started with the family portrait and then moved on to some candid, fun things!

Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your vacation! I had a blast with you guys!

On a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon a small group of family & friends gathered to watch Toby & Tammy say ‘I DO’ on the sugar white sands of Rosemary Beach, FL. I’ll update again that there is in fact no oil to be seen or smelled here on Panama City Beach.

They say less is more when it comes to a lot of things and in this case, it certainly was! Toby & Tammy’s wedding was very simple but oh so elegant! They met by the town hall in Rosemary Beach before walking down to meet their guests on the lawn and walk down onto the beach…

Their ceremony was reminiscent of the movie Mama Mia, where the guests gathered around the bride and groom as they exchanged vows. Toby & Tammy’s children beside them, they celebrated their brand new family.

As we walked to the reception, we stopped along the way for some portraits of the family as well as just the two of them.

For their reception, Toby & Tammy hosted an intimate dinner at the Restaurant Paradis in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

I had the pleasure of meeting this big group of wonderful people this past week on Fort Walton Beach. (Which is oil free by the way!) Large family sessions are usually fun but I have to say this was one of my favorite large families. Every single one in the group made us feel like part of the family. The kids were well behaved (as you will see in a few of the photos) and it was a beautiful evening. What else could you ask for in a session???

How about 16 people jumping in unison?  … you got it!

We started in the grassy area of the Waterscape resort on Okaloosa Island…

And then we made our way down to the beach for some fun! Out of the group of 16, 9 were children, so we had to get all of grandma’s precious grandkids in few shots together. Ages 16 to 2…

Thanks so much to the Weber family for allowing me to be a part of your vacation! I truly enjoyed the evening I got to spend with your family!

Its a rare occurrence this time of year to photograph locals on Panama City Beach. I photograph lots & lots of vacationing families every year and I love getting to meet new people from all over the USA!

The Williams are such a fun family so I knew this wouldn’t be the typical family session… God must’ve known it too because we got the most amazing sky, clouds and sunset that night! It was so beautiful!

To show you how not typical this session was I will show this image first….

The beautiful Jones family came to our area from… wait… can you guess??? Yep, Tennessee! I had so much fun during this relaxed beach session.

I got to know the oldest of the Jones boys and learned he is super duper smart and he knows Kung Fu! He was a blast to play with and kept me on my toes! He even talked his mom into playing IN the water 😉
